My Last Day of Work and My Cake

I was kinda sad that morning. It was just the last day of my internship, but it felt like the end of an era. Haha. But then I felt kinda happy thinking about the extra hour sleep I'm gona be getting after that. Okai maybe I was mostly sad. Even though there were toimes when I wanted to get that internship over with, I still enjoyed working with the most awesomest people ever.

I remember my co-worker asking me where I wanted to eat coz they wana take me out to lunch. I said Bj's would be foine, so he was all oohh okai cool! And then he asked what's the one bestest restaurant I loike. I said Cheesecake Factory. Then he said, "Uhm ionow if we could do that for lunch." I was loike, "Great, thanx."So my boss telling me not to make lunch plans that day because I figured they were gona take me out to lunch. But then people were making their own lunch plans so in my head I was thinking, "Great I'm f-ing starving and apparently no one's planning on feeding me." But it turns out I was gonna go to lunch with my boss and two other co-workers. We went to this place called Hof's Hut (If you don't know what/where that is then you're foine. None of the people I told this story to knew it either). The food wasn't all that, but I was still grateful for the free lunch. Okai actually I was expecting my boss to take us to a nicer place. But I was starving so I would have eaten anything. So that was over. Went back to work, counting down my last few hours left. Finally, it was almost toime for me to leave. One of my co-workers was all, "Hey boss needs you in the breakroom." I was all, "Am I in trouble?" He's all, "No they just wana say goodbye to you.'" So I got all scared coz I mite cry or sumtin. But I didn't! I came in the breakroom and they were all there with a big ass cake from costco and gift cards from In n Out and Cheesecake Factory. I was about to cry. Okai no I wasn't. My boss was telling me how I must've been rilly well-loiked around there because they did that to other people before too, but the turnout of the contribution was way more than they usually get. Okai roight there I was about to cry. But I didn't. I said my goodbyes and stuff, actually almost cried when one of my co-workers who has taught me so much hugged me and stuff. *sigh* So that was that. I loved the people I worked with because they were so welcoming and nice and funnie and aaahhh okai I'm over it. Finally left the office, with a plate of cake (I wanted to take home the big ass cake but it wouldve been hard carrying it on the bus and stuff). I was sitting on the bus, just thinking about all the funtoimes I had in that internship. I got back in my apartment, still feeling sad, and then I realized, "Shet I should've just brought the whole damn cake home."

My story of the day

So today was one of my co-worker's birthday. At around lunchtoime, there was a delivery for her, and it turned out to be a dozen of red roses from her boyfriend. I saw it sitting on her desk (coz who would miss a big ass vase of red roses) and I was all, "Aww those are really pretty. You're bf's so sweet." But in my oh-so-bitter-head I'm thinking, "Ugh gag me with a spoon puhlease. That's twelve f-in roses of f-in bullshit." Yes, I am forever-bitter, but I can't help but hear myself say it. I saw her admiring her roses, with the biggest smile on her face, prolly feeling like the luckiest/happiest girl in the world. In my head I can hear myself say, "It's pathetic how a dozen roses can make you look so foolish when it comes to love." But deep inside, I'm secretly wishing to be that foolish girl I once was.

Random post of the day just coz...

This is one of my favorite church songs that I haven't heard in so long.

Anima Christi
Soul of Christ, sanctify me
Body of Christ, save me

Water from the side of Christ , wash me
Passion of Christ, give me strength

Hear me Jesus
Hide me in thy wounds that I may never leave thy side
From all the evil that surrounds me, defend me
And when the call of death arrives, bid me come to thee
That I may praise thee with thy saints
Forever.

I had a hectic but awesome week last week! I got 2 friggin days off work thanx to the best manager on earth (man if only he could read this). This blog will be perty long only coz it's koinda detailed. So if you rilly love me then you'll read my awesome adventures till the end. Enjoy!

My long weekend started on Wednesday afternoon, rushed home to pack for PASS's (Pilipino-Americans in Social Studies) camping retreat. Me and Rone rode with Pahed, met up with everyone else in the gas station, and headed straight to the camp site in Trabuco Canyon, which is approximately 20mins south of Irvine. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, considering it was my first time camping. Albertson's was friggin 5 minutes away so that was very convenient haha. Besides the Jack in the Box and Albertson's chicken dinners, the riteaid ice cream run, and the trip to the man-made lake, everything else felt loike a real camping trip. I slept surprisingly well despite the bumpy/rocky ground that we slept on. I had major funtoimes setting up the tent, brushing our teeth with bottled water, waking up Rone and forcing her back to sleep, bonfires and pyros, smores with crunch, hotdogs, hiding games, jumping for pics, frisbee games, hungry bees, waking up to ants, bacon eggs & wet bagels, slowjams, ghost stories, rice stories, doorless bathroom stalls, naps, fellow uci campers, and stinkiness all the way. Drove back to Irvine Friday before noon and showered loike there was no tomorrow. Yeah PASS!

After the camping retreat, chilled back at the apartment for a bit, rested, Love Actually, then I was off to San Francisco! Dad picked me up from Irvine, drove me to the Burbank airport, flew Southwest around 9:25pm and arrived at the Oakland airport around 10:20pm. That was the first toime I flew by myself and I was scared shitless coz of the majorly bumpy flight. Friggin Southwest. But I was so excited when I finally saw Babs (my bespren since 4th/5th grade) after ten million years! Okai maybe 5 years. Spent that night in Alameda (her grandparents' house). We could've talked all noight but we were both toired so went to bed earlier than we expected.

Saturday was practically our only day of fun together since I was only there for the weekend so we decided to take the Bart to downtown San Francisco. Instead of sight seeing (coz we were both tourists) we spent most of our toime shopping instead. Biggest mistake of our loives roight there. We were in French Connection for forever, deciding whether or not we should buy a $100 sweater. Finally, we basically pressured each other into buying it. We ended up getting that, and only that, since we were basically bankrupt when we got out of that store. I decided that we'd be better off sight seeing after that (it'd be definitely cheaper than shopping) so we took this bus to what we thought was Fisherman's Warf already but it wasn't. We prolly walked 3 miles to get there, and obviously we were perty toired and we needed to go back home soon, so we went straight to the gift shop where we spent another couple hours trying to buy stuff for people. To sum it all up, all we did was buy a friggin sweater and souvenirs. Awesometoimes.

Saturday noight Babs' bf arrived from Florida so we picked him up from the airport, supposed to go out that night but Babs' grandparents and uncle decided that we should spent that noight in their bigger house in Antioch since there was more of us staying over. The house was beautiful, but it was friggin 90 degrees that noight and I wasn't appreciating that. We ended up singing magic mic the whole noight till everyone was too toired (well at least most of us were). That was funtoimes. Slept perty late but it was awesometoimes.

Sunday morning had to wake up early coz we had to go back to Alameda to get breakfast with Babs' mom (we left here there haha) since I haven't seen her since I got there. Koinda had to rush eating coz my flight was leaving at 10:35am. Said our goodbyes and thankyous and they rushed me to the airport, only to foind the longest check-in loine ever, so I had to nervously wait and pray that the plane doesnt leave me. Finally got in, heard the last call for my flight, ran loike a mother to the gate. People were lookin at me loike "Shoot you better run faster than that." I was about to smack them all. But I made it! Yes I did! Even though I got a crappy/middle seat the flight back was less scary coz we landed smoothly. Parents picked me up from Burbank airport and went home, then out again to go bed shopping with sister. Went back to Irvine that night and fell asleep at friggin 11pm. Awesome toiring toimes.

I wish my vacation was longer but I couldn't afford to take more days off. I seriously thought the two days off that I took for the camping trip was paid. But it wasn't!It was an approved absence but apparently Interns don't really get those so it was not friggin paid. Ggggrrrrrrrr. Oh well. At least I had a fun vacation. I just need to stop spending.

So this week I'm back at work, still trying to learn and understand all this investing stuff that I don't get sometoimes. Yesterday was fun though because I got to go with one of the financial reps on his seminars in this hospital in Santa Ana with free food of course. The people who attended the seminars were mostly nurses, so of course there were a lot of Filipino nurses. Besides the accent, the one sure way I could tell they were Filipino was because they were asking for hecka free pens. Hilariousness.

I've also been eating out a lot this week--not good. I haven't been running, but I've been trying to "swim." Okai maybe not but I was in the pool walking around and stuff. I guess Toigerheat was koinda loike a workout since it was friggin hot in there and I was sweating loike no other.

Oh yeah we just got our carpet cleaned and it looks grrreeaaattt. No one is allowed to step foot in our carpet with shoes on or dirty feet ever again! If you have any of those, you're not welcome at all. That's roite I'm a carpet nazi Alisa. Shet.

Okai this is rilly long and beggining to sound random so I think I'm gona stop here. I have a lot more random thoughts floating in my head but it's friggin freezing here at work so I can't think very well roite now. Oh yeah WELCOME BACK SUE! I MISS YOU! WE HAVE TO EAT DEMNIT! Mwah. Okai more random blogs later. Payce.

This was the post I wrote last week that I didn't publish:

Hallow hallow children I'm aloive I'm aloive! You would think I'd have a major update on my loife but not rilly. But Im gona try and remember everything that I've been up to these past few weeks…

- interning everyday from 8am-4:30pm - work everyday in school 4:45pm-6:00pm or earlier
- PASS meetings (Pilipino Americans in Social Studies)
- birthday dinners
- chillentoimes with the roomies - jogging - always home on the weekends, packing to move to a new house

Birthday greetings…

July 19 BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY CRISTINA MAABA! Dude I'm still waiting for my beer. Where is it Cristina, where is it?!? You've been an awesome friend and I think we need to catch up soon. When you're not as important and popular maybe you'll have toime to talk to me? Ionow when that will be though. Heehee jaykay I luv you mwah!

July 22 BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTINE TSAI! I'm glad our little surprise thing surprised you even a lil bit. *cough* gladys' fault *cough* It was fun chillen with you guys last night especially hearing your fun news and stuffffff loike that. Wishing you all the happiness in the world…you deserve it. Mwah luv you Christine!

I seriously feel so old these past few weeks. I kinda know now what it feels like to be a real working adult. I have to get up at 7am everyday so I could get to work before 8am. I'm there for 8 hours, go back to my apartment dead toired, eat dinner, either chill, watch movie, tv, or go out for just a couple hours because I would have to sleep early so I could function normally the next day. Most of the toime I'm too toired to do anything that I just want to lay there forever. I feel like I don’t have much toime to do anything else. My weekends are my only time to just chillax and that's when I go home to help pack coz we're moving to our new house this weekend. It's weird coz I feel like I'm at work forever but then when I get home everything goes by so fast. Okai I'm babbling. Just wanted to share what it's like to be old. I'm not saying I don't like work. I'm just saying how toiring it is. Work can be boring sometimes because all I do is the easy stuff that I can't get in trouble for. I can't really do much since I'm not licensed to deal with clients which is the fun part. But I can actually say that I do enjoy working here because the people are rilly nice and fun, and I get to pretend to be all "grown up." Hahaha okai wutever.

So on to other news…I'm koinda excited that my family's moving to Northridge! Kinda excited because it's a real house and it has a pool n all (well the house is kinda old so we had to paint it n all but it's not loike a wow house). But I'm koinda sad coz I love Hollywood and I rilly don’t wana live far from LA. And also I'm gona miss the apartment. *sigh* Oh well. The pool makes up for it I guess. Pool party coming soon so stay tuned!

This is my post for today...

My family finally moved this weekend. The house is a total mess still, boxes and furniture everywhere. All in all, move in day was alrite. I was kinda sad actually. Stupid sister made me sad. I wasn't supposed to be coz I was foine, but she made me sad. Shet. I know I'm gona miss the old apartment and LA. *sigh*  Had fun with cousins though. Oh well. At least I get my own room now. *sigh*

Today is my 6th year anniversary living here in the States. Awesometoimes.

One more birthday greeting for the month of July...

To David: May your spirit  soar gracefully on the whispering breeze. May your joy run strong as the deepest seas. May your soul reach out to embrace the sky. May your heart guide you truly
as the years go by. JAYKAY.  I got that from somwhere I didn't wroite that.Forget all that. I just wish that your fulfil your goal by the toime your 21. Yes, we're changing it to 21. That's the real deadline. And since you didn't invite me to get pho you don't get a gift. Mwah.

Okai this is one random and long blog. I'm sure I have a lot more stories to tell but I just don't remember roite now. Oh well.

Hope everyone's having an awesome summer!

My first day was bleh coz it was perty slow and I was jus in front of the computer falling asleep coz there was nuttin to do. But after that I was having fun with the people who work there (yes, they love me haha jaykay) and it was fun sitting in on their meetings (which made me feel all business-y and important) even though I had no idea what they were talkin about. I love the free coffee and oreas and danish cookies and bagels and lunch and funnie people and aaahhh okai I'm not obssessed. I was just expecting it to be horrible after the first day. But it's not. 9 more weeks of fun yaay.

Updates...

Finals Week
Had a final Tuesday and Froiday. Didn't appreciate the fact that everyone else was partying when I was still studying Thursday noite. When I finally finished my last foinal, wasn't as excited as I should have been because I didn't do too well and everyone was already back home or at least about to go home. Oh well.

Froiday of foinals week
I thought I was gona partay but ended up walking to the new Jack in the Box (which was an interesting place becoz it was unusually packed with the male species. I think me, Rone, and Gladys were the only girls there). We ended up watching 50 First Dates. Cute movie. Ended up chillen with friggin Rona till 6am. I was about to kill her.

Weekend
Thanx Gladys for taking me home once again! Weekend was perty chill with the familia. And of course had lola lunch on Father's Day. I love family toime with cousins. Especially with Kailangan Kita and Bagets. Bwaha.

Monday - chilled with cousin
Tuesday - chilled with Keith and BJ. Miss Saigon with Chelle, Christine T., Janice, Joanna, Joyce, Mel, Jill, Rica, Leo, Derrick, GP, Francia, & Cristina. Loved the play.
Wednesday - bummed around
Thursday - chilled with cousin again
Froiday - who knows

So I dunno why I had to post what I've been doing coz obviously it's not that interesting. Except I realized how much of a mother I am when I'm at home. I cook and clean and all that other fun stuff. It makes my mom n dad happy so I guess that's why I do it. It's the least I can do around here. Okai jk I'm just bored. Toime to cook roice. Payce.

My love is not my own
It all belongs to You
And after all You've done
the least that I can do
Is live my life
In every part
Only to please my Father's heart

- Father's Heart, Rachel Lampa
Sorry about the semi-angry post. I blame it on finals rilly. I get annoyed with the littlest things. But I'm over it.

I had a petty, pathetic, semi-o.a. (overacting) moment yesterday outside the main library. It was kinda embarassing but quite funnie. Oh finals wut will I do without you.

Wanted to go to Denny's last night with the Immacers but had the will power to say no. With mighty force. I should be proud but then I didn't get nething done neway. It was Rona's fault.

One final down...one more to go! Froiday foinal baybeeeeeeee! Thats roite I end on Froiday so all you people who are done with finals better shut up and dont rub it in my face. Or jus buy me dinner and we'll call it even yeah?

Can't wait till it's over. Can't wait to go home and do nothing for one whole week before the madness starts again. I miss home.

So this has been one random post. So I'm gona go play mahjong solitaire now.

Monday, June 14, 2004

It’s true. “Life’s only as dramatic as you make it.” But sometimes, people have to understand where the person with problems is coming from. Don’t assume that it isn’t as serious as you think it is. Maybe it’s not. But what if it is?

Some people just don’t get it. First of all, I wana say that everyone has their own struggles and problems in life. You can’t compare a college kid with family, school, work, and friends problems with a person who has “scrapping the garbage to survive in Somalia” problems. That’s two different situations. Second of all, only a person who doesn’t know what it feels to be that low could say that these problems aren’t that big of a deal. Obviously, you don’t understand what it’s like. You wouldn’t be saying that if you know. Lastly, generalizing that everyone goes through the same petty problems isn’t too smart. Again, some people apparently have no idea what others go through each and everyday of their life. Only people who don’t give a shit about anything could say that. I’m sorry to inform you that there are people out there who care about life a lot and that’s how they get these umm, what do they call it…problems?…which you apparently don’t have. Some people should just stop pretending that they got everyone figured out and they know what every single person in this world is going through. You think you know what everyone’s about but you have no clue what’s going on. You’re not even close.

Neways…….

So I think I know now what could keep me jumping up and down during finals week: Red Ribbon chocolate cake. I realized this after I drank my tall java chip decaf while eating the cake at the same time. Or maybe it was the cake and my decaf combined? Eh wutever.

I can officially say that my apartment is the happiest place on earth during finals week. Ask anyone who came by who had free cookies, cake, and a Todo todo lesson. That’s roite baybeeeee. We rock hardcore!

Who’s screwed this finals weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!?!??! I am! I am! I wish I could say that I shouldn’t have watched Stepford Woives, Harry Potter, and gone clubbing (haha yes before finals week). But those were my study breaks so it’s okai. Okai I’m screwed foreal and it’s my fault. I guess it’s studytoime now. Payce homies!

Sunday, June 13, 2004

Sorry if I'm way too dramatic for you. Don't worry. From now I'll just pretend everything's fine and I'll put on a happy face just for you.

I was feeling way better by the way. Till I talked to you.

Goodluck with finals everybody!

Just testing how cool I can be by posting pictures. Pics from Liwanag banquet:

Wednesday, June 09, 2004

"Happiness is a journey, not a destination."

It's funny how this one quote that I rily believe in somehow got lost in my head amidst all the stress that's been going on. It took one Liwanag meeting to help me find it. Awesome dude.

Wow two posts in one day! I'm way cool.

Highlight of my day:

So I got my Econ midterm back last Thursday and I got a B+. I was koinda sad coz I have larc for that class and I should be getting A's. But then it was my bad becoz I did not study as much as I was supposed to. So I was looking over my test and I didn't understand why some points were taken off from one problem. So I asked my TA today and he looked at my midterm real quick and just added one point saying, "Yeah, you rilly deserve an A." So now I have an A-. That's roite baybee! A- for not studying! Lesson of the day: Even though you got an A, don't count on luck. Study and then you'll get a solid A.

Today started out as a bleh day but turned into a yay day. So perfect to end it with Liwanag. Never ceases to make my heart smoile. Thank YOU.

I'M ALOIVE I'M ALOIVE!

I haven't rilly been bloggin as much lately, and I just realized that whenever this happens it means that I haven't been in happy mode. It sucks. I'll elaborate towards the end of this post...

Had fun chillaxin toimes this past week...bbq with some homies, cramtoime with some stufff, getting ready for liwanag banquet, liwanag banquet (soo beautiful foreal...thanx to all those who made it possible), and wyse carwash.

So I just told my boss roite now that I got an internship this summer for 10 weeks. I felt rilly bad telling her that. She was telling me how they have projects lined up n stuff and I was supposed to help them out becoz that's what I said before. But I just had to ruin that. I hate this feeling. I hate not being able to please everyone. Crapnuts.

I haven't been feeling the motivation to do my school shtuff. It kinda shows with the grades I've been getting. Which is rilly sad becoz I'm only taking 12 units this quarter and my classes aren't even that hard. I need a motivation buddy to make me stay focused.

As much as possible, I try not to read people's sad posts becoz it jus makes me sad. Sometimes it jus makes me annoyed. But here I am, typing up a sad entry myself which makes me even more sadder than ever. Get it? Ion't get it.

I don't exactly know what's going on with me rite now. One minute I'm okai, laughing and chillen with friends. Next minute I wana get away from everything. It's only this quarter that I've felt this way. Maybe it's the stress. Ionow. Maybe it's my faith. That's prolly it. I'm being tested. I've been falling deeper and deeper. I don't know where to turn to. I can't see His face. It's as if I don't want to see. I can't even explain it. It's too hard to put into words. I don't know where I'm going. I don't know where I'm gona end up. And that scares me. I need to see Him but I'm blinded. I can't do this by myself.

I wana go home.

HAPPY BURFDAY TO MY DAWG GLADYS!

Friday, May 28, 2004

Hardcore week! Finally done with midterms, papers, and presentation! I thought we did perty gud in our advertising presentation. Everyone seemed to love our product. I had fun working with those foolios haha. Whoop there it is... haha

Neways...finally three day weekend! Toime to jus chilax with the family. I miss them.

Been on a rollercoaster roide with my emotions lately. It's perty weird. One minute everything is horrible, next thing everything is perfect. Man, I'm so special.

Ayt toime to get ready for a fun froiday noite. Payce.

I missed Liwanag. Can’t believe I was m.i.a. for that long. I’m glad I went this past Tuesday. They never fail to make me feel oh-so-blessed. Loved the hugs I got. Made me feel good that I came back.

Went to Casa Youth Shelter for a WYSE field trip with our girls yesterday. We delivered the donations that we collected from people. They gave us a tour of the place and a background of what it was about. It’s basically a place for runaway teenagers who have different problems at home like abuse, neglect, abandonment, etc.

The founder of this place is this awesome lady, who is going to be 95 this year (I think), and has done a lot in her life…she was one of the first few women in the navy, served as a probation officer, worked with martin luther king, worked with cesar chavez, and did a whole lotta other stuff to help people. I just thought that she was an incredible woman with all that she has done and all the lives she’s made a difference in. It makes my heart smile to know that there are still people like her left in this world.

If you wana know more about it you can check out the website. And since now that you know about it, you can be an ambassador like me and let other people know about it! If you know anyone who’s having problems at home you can tell them about it.

Sooooo I’ve been rilly tired from school and midterms and papers and meetings and work and everything! I over slept today (and I know that whenever that happens it means it’s time to get a break) so was an hour late to work. It’s greatness. Good thing my boss understands (I think). It’s jus never-ending! I need a break! But I can’t get a break! Ever! Okai maybe I’m overreacting but still. I am toired. I NEED A BREAK (free breakfast, lunch, or dinner would be greatly appreciated thanks).

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY GRANDMA (ON MY DAD’S SOIDE) LAST SATURDAY! I KNOW YOU READ THIS LOLA AND JUST WANTED TO SAY THANK YOU FOR ALL THE FOOD AND MORE FOOD AND SOME MORE FOOD YOU’VE BLESSED ME WITH SINCE I WAS BORN. I LOVE YOU!

Okai so maybe she doesn’t read this. But that’s what I’d tell her neway.

True story from this weekend…So I was home again this weekend and my mom and I went to this supermarket near my house called “Jons” (Yes, it’s Vons with a J). We were about to pay for our shtuff when suddenly some dude came running in the store because someone was chasing him from outside. As my mom attempts to run for her life (forgetting that I am with her btw), some customer dude just grabbed him to stop him and about to beat him up, and all the other Jons employees were loike, “What’s going on…what’s wrong with you…why are you causing a scene blahblahblah.” This dude was all, “Someone’s trying to kill me! You’re guard’s trying to kill me!” He had cuts all over his body with blood dripping and all that gud stuff. They escorted him outside and I think that was the end of it. That was the extent of all the action that I’ve seen this week. Only in LA.

Ionow what else happened after but that is when I finally realized that I can’t handle panicky situations too well. I was jus standing there shocked and I didn’t know what to do. Just loike the microwave incident with the popcorn and the metal rack thing that I thought was gona explode. I just screamed and pointed and that was that.

Randomness…Yay for Tita Tess and Karla for coming to visit us. Hope to see u guys again next year maybe?

Bought a $10 dress shirt. Score.

Despite the toime pressure we had and the semi-creepy waiter, I had fun Sue.

Cousinstoime as usual. Lola’s food, guitar (“You’ll never know…” bwhaha), Erin Brokovich, Ube cake, and halo halo. And they wonder why I look like this! GEEZNUTS.

I just received good news today. Maybe that’s why I’m kinda happier than usual. It’s prolly gona make up for the shittiness I’ve been feeling lately. So after isolating myself from the whole world (well not rilly), I think I’m ready to come back.

It would be quite interesting to watch my life and see it in a different perspective. I bet I could easily see everything that I'm doing wrong and realize how much I need to change a lot of things. Or maybe jus do things differently.

But I'm sure it'll be super fun to watch denny's nights or just time with my immacers. We're too cute huh? Haha.

Cramtoime will always be the best distraction I'll ever need. I think. Nyaha.

I'm fine. I'm rilly okai. Foreal. No worries. I'll be back I swear. I jus need to breathe and chillax. I'm jus here.

Feeling bleh. But trying to smile. I have a lot of shtuff to do this week so hopefully all this shtuff can take my mind off things.

Let's try to blog happy thoughts...

Sooo this weekend was gift shopping for people with sister. I thought I was gona spend ten million dollahs for gifts alone...but I ended up saving a lot. Yay for a smart shopper! It sux coz I didn't even buy anything for myself. But its okai, I like buying people gifts that I think they love. I hope.

Saw my cousins again. I love seeing them even for just a little whoile. They make my heart smile =).

Tita Ruth's surprise was fun...makes me happy to see people happy. She had no idea and she cried aww haha. Fun videos were the highlight of the party waahaa.

I'm gona close this with a forward I got from a friend. It's kinda what I'm going through right now. I'm not twenty-something yet but I could already feel it coming. Maybe most of you people will agree.

"Being Twenty-Something"

They call it the "Quarter-life Crisis." It is when you stop going along with the crowd and start realizing that there are many things about yourself that you didn't know and may not like. You start feeling insecure and wonder where you
will be in a year or two, but then get scared because you barely know where you are now.

You start realizing that people are selfish and that, maybe, those friends that you thought you were so close to aren't exactly the greatest people you have ever met. What you don't recognize is that they are realizing that too, and aren't really cold, catty, mean or insincere but that they are as confused as you.

You look at your job... and it is not even close to what you thought you would be doing, or maybe you are looking for a job and realizing that you are going to have to start at the bottom and that scares you. Your opinions have gotten stronger. You see what others are doing and find yourself judging more than usual because suddenly you realize that you have certain boundaries in your life and are constantly adding things to your list of what is acceptable and what isn't. One minute, you are insecure and then the next, secure.

You laugh and cry with the greatest force of your life. You feel alone and scared and confused. Suddenly, change is the enemy and you try and cling on to the past with dear life, but soon realize that the past is drifting further and further away, and there is nothing to do but stay where you are or move forward.

You get your heart broken and wonder how someone you loved could do such damage to you. Or you lay in bed and wonder why you can't meet anyone decent enough that you want to get to know better. Or maybe you love someone but love someone else too and cannot figure out why you are doing this because you know that you aren't a bad person. One-night-stands and random hook ups start to look cheap. Getting wasted and acting like an idiot starts to look pathetic. You go through the same emotions and questions over and over, and talk with your friends about the same topics because you cannot seem to make a decision. You worry about loans, money, the future and making a life for yourself… and while winning the race would be great, right now you'd just like to be a contender! What you may not realize is that everyone reading this relates to it. We are in our best of times and our worst of times, trying as hard as we can to figure this whole thing out.

It's hard to live each and everyday without seeing You. How am I supposed to see the purpose if I don't acknowledge You? I never realized how hard it is to hold on. I never realized how vulnerable I can be until I couldn't see. Everyday, I run farther and farther away until I get to the point where there is nothing. I need You right now. I can't go on pretending to be someone I'm not. It breaks my heart when I pray and realize that I haven't been the person You want me to be. I've been struggling, and I keep on falling. I don't know where I'm going.

I hate feeling worthless. I hate feeling like a failure. I hate hating.

I'm sorry for not making you smile. I'm sorry for whatever I've done to make you unhappy. I can't be happy when you're unhappy. I'm sorry.

Sorry for my sad and random blog. I try not to blog about sad stuff but sumtimes it's my only way of letting it out. I have fun stuff to look forward to though. I mite go home again this weekend! I think that's fun stuff coz I like going home these days. Makes me happy to see my family. It's weird how I used to not want going home becoz I'd rather have fun with friends. But now my family's been my source of happiness, comfort, and strength. I love them all and I'm very thankful for their presence in my life.

I have one last random thought! It's kinda sad how sometimes the highlight of my day would be when I'd be watching my favorite shows like F.R.I.E.N.D.S, American Idol, and The OC. It shows how fun my life really is!

So today, I thought it was gona be a bright, bright, bright sun-shiny day rite...for WAYZGOOSE (UCI Open House). But nooooooo. They decided to make it rain and get me all soaking wet on my way to school for our WYSE booth. So I got there and turns out its cancelled. So great. Packed up, left, walked back to my apartment, got to my apartment door with my jeans dripping, and realized that I lost my keys. Awesome. Can you believe it?!? ME losing my keys?!? I don't lose things!!! No, I didn't cry. I didn't even panic. I was way pissed to feel any other emotion. So in the pouring rain, I traced my way back to where I passed on my way to sch, went back to where our booth was at, went back the any other place I stopped at, and found my keys! If I hadnt asked people if they saw my keys I wouldn't have gotten it back. Whew. Lesson of the day: Ask and you shall receive. Seek and you shall find.

Types of people that bug the hell out of me:

1) The notorious seatmate who sit next to in class who move way too much, hog ur personal space, tap their foot on ur chair, or don't shower.

2) People I watch tv or movies with, who say the lines out loud or predict what's gona happen b4 it happens

3) Those who think they know everything and everyone before anyone else, making them feel "in" or cool or better than everyone

4) Anyone who immediately associates someone who has a lot of faith as someone who is narrow-minded

5) The Dirty Ho...not like that. Those who are unsanitary or jus messy or unclean

6) Those who think the world revolves around them

7) Being too dependent and needy

8) Extreme PDA

9) Those who can't go clubbing tonite

What's ironic is that I prolly am one of these. Scary scary thought.

I can think of so much more to put in here but I don't wana sound too mean.

Yes, it's that time of the month again ladies.

Monday, April 05, 2004

So my spring break was technically from Friday night till Sunday night. It was kinda weird how I really, really, really wanted to go home so bad. Maybe it was coz I was all by myself in the apt for a couple days and that wasn't very fun.

Before I forget...

APRIL 3, 2004HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE OLDEST SISTER IN THE WORLD! YOU'RE TOOO OLD SIS. ION'T UNDERSTAND WHY YOU STILL CELEBRATE YOUR BIRTHDAYS. GEEZNUTS. JK MWAH I LOVE YOU.

So Saturday was filled with family parties. Well, just two. That's too much for me though.

The first one was Nanay Tala's 80th surprise luau. That was fun coz counsins n everyone was there. Too fun when titas started dancing. WAAHAA cute.

The second one was this family friend party, who I do not even know, and I was just dragged by my mother to come (since my sister partied with her old friends and I couldn't really go party with them, I was kinda stuck with my mother). I was kinda entertained by the people singing the magic mic while getting drunk though. So that was cool. Left at around 2am coz parents were jus having so much fun with their peoples. Didn't wana ruin it for them so I just tried entertaining myself and called some peoples.

Sunday was church, Pat & Oscars, Michaels, Best Buy, and Loemans with sister. Yes, I am officially broke. Time to work more hours.

So I didn't really get to see old high school friends this spring break. That sucked. But it's okai coz I had good quality time with family and that's what I missed the most.

Today's the first day of spring quarter and I think I'm gona have funtoimes with my Advertising and Marketing classes...I hope. I'm just praying that I don't get stuck with not-so-cooperative teamates for the group projects that's worth half my grade or else.

Man I thought I would have written a funner post. Oh well, sux to be me. Will blog more later.

OOHH okai so I'm inviting YOU, yes YOU to a fundraising event for WYSE (mentoring group). Here's the info so far:

So much crap to do at work. I think they finally realized that I don't have enough work to keep me busy. Man!

Monday, March 29, 2004

Yes, it's over. I didn't like that final at all. Grrr. Wutever, it's over and that's all that matters.

Friday noite was party noite. I think it's funner to party without being intoxicated. You get to laugh at other people being stupid.

Thanx..once again...for taking me home Saturday. You never fail to entertain me. Well, actually u do sumtoimes but it's all gud.

So my spring break's kinda over after today coz im gona be working. Man, I suck like a duck. Oh well. I need the money.

I think I should take this toime to organize my whole loife. Payce.

Tuesday, March 23, 2004

I just realized that whenever I have to study for something big (finals or midterms), I tend to have this cleaning disorder where I have to clean the apartment, or my room, or whatever I can clean right before I study. Dang I'm special.

Monday, March 22, 2004

Monday, March 15, 2004

I had a shitload of shit due last week...which meant crankiness to the max. I didn't even go to Liwanag meeting because I thought I would get stuff done...but I didn't. Shoo. I should've just gone. But I got through it and it wasn't as bad as I thought. Well, except for my econ midterm. Pshahaha.

Thursday was PUSO's high school outreach and I wasn't feeling very woohoo about it for many reasons. But when the students started coming I got over it. "We're going to Miami, we're going to Miami, we're going to Miami...Metroids!" Pwaha. My kids Rudy, Sha, Vince, and Julianne were awesome. GREAT BIG THANK YOU to Mars n Mark for being honorary Metroids...it would not have been as fun if you guys weren't there to help me out.

Friday was a field trip to Planned Parenthood with my WYSE girls. Even though it was a short one, I thought it was a good field trip. Very educational. Haha.

Some questions that the girls had:
"What is this for?" *holds up lubricant*
"Why do condoms have flavors?"

It's rilly an awesome resource and not a lot of people realize that. Check it out if you have toime -->
Planned Parenthood

friday nite...party-ed for a bit.

Saturday sister picked me up and we headed to Paul's Place (thanx Cristina for directions) then headed home to LA. Went with sister to her hiphop class (bwaahaa that was funtoimes), took a shower, headed to the mall to buy cousin's gift, then went straight to church. Black Angus for dinner coz it was my parents' anniversary on the 10th! Yay! My sister surprised them with a trip to vegas for 3 days with a hotel suite n everythaang. Of course my mom had to take all the toiletries (did I spell that right?) and errthing else she could find in there. I'm happy they had fun.

Sunday was lunch at lola's. Mmmmm food. Chilled with cousin. Awww I love my cousin. Shampoo shampoo snake snake! BWAHA.

It feels so much better to let go of the negativity. Makes me feel lighter and more carefree. I love it.

Tuesday, March 09, 2004

Fun-filled weekend:

- Spirit Rally was awesome. I wanted to stay so bad...but couldn't. But I know it was funtoimes all the toime. Yay liwanag! Yay Jesus!

- HAPPY BIRTHDAY COOL FARTNAH AND MELISSA! You guys looked amazing.

This week is hecticness all over. Paper, project, midterm, high school outreach, mother. Just when my day was starting to get better, she just ruins everything for me. *frustrated/mad/about to cry face*. I would blog more about it but I wana stay away from posting all the negativity for a while.

Happy Thoughts:
- free food (thanx ng =D)
- beautiful weather
- chilltoime
- more free food

I hate it when I feel mad for some reason. I hate it when I feel the bitterness. I hate it when I feel resenment towards people. I hate it when I hate.

There was a point when I felt I had so much hate inside me. It wasn't a very good feeling because it only made me feel worse. Whenever I catch myself feeling angry and furious about sumtin, I disappoint myself and almost feel guilty for having those emotions. I don't like feeling that way and I try hard not to, but then I'm only human and it takes a lot to stop it. Venting seems to be the only way to let it out, but sometimes it only makes it worse. I ask Him to make me stronger, to give me the strength to be more understanding. I ask Him to take away all the hate I have in me so that I would not feel the heaviness I have in my heart. I ask Him to be with me...and forgive me.

Man I used the word hate ten million times in this post. I know hate is a strong word...and so is love. And you know...you can never rilly hate someone you don't love.

Happier blog will come soon! I hope.

Thursday, February 26, 2004

I've been wanting to blog about this but I haven't been feeling blogg-y lately. But neways, two weeks ago in Liwanag we were talking about stuff that we would give up for lent. And my awesome family sister Vanessa said sumtin that made me think about my actions. She said sumtin like... it seems that everyone is always giving up this, or willing to stop doing that, blahblahblah. Wouldn't it be better if instead of "not doing" sumtin or "giving up" sumtin, everyone should "do sumtin"? Am I making sense? I thought it made perfect sense. People are usually focusing on the things that they would stop doing for lent. Well, what good will that do exactly? Wouldn't it be better if people actually DO sumtin that would make a difference? Just a thought.

Watched The Passion of the Christ with practically everyone last night after Ash Wednesday mass. It kinda weirded me out how they kinda made the movie kinda scary/creepy/suspense-y in the beginning. I guess it's just to set the mood for the movie. But that's not the important part neway so it doesn't rilly matter. I'm not very good with words, and I rilly don't know how to express the feeling I had after watching the movie. Let's just say if I was watching the movie by myself, I would be crying from start to finish. It did not seem like I was just watching a movie. It seemed like I was there to witness it and see the sacrifice He went through for me. I couldn't bare witnessing every single beating and torture. It was as if I wanted to tell them to stop but I couldn't. I guess I never fully realized His love until I saw all of that. It made me question even more why I deserve all that I have.

So newaysssssssssssssss...

I finally did the STD (now called STI or Sexually Transmitted Infections) class for my 6th-7th grade girls yesterday. My partner Fernanda and I prepared for that thing the whole saturday and I'm glad it turned out good. Yay for us! Thanx to Irene who helped me out when Fernanda had to leave. It was nice to see all the mentees have fun with the game we played. Even my shy little mentee was participating and I was rilly excited for her! It was just funnie how after hearing all about the scary stuff about STI's and how you can get them through their "partners", one girl asked "So we can't even hug?!?!?!" That was fun.

Wow this has been a perty long blog. And I thought I wasn't in a blogg-y mood. That's all I have to say for now. Been tired lately as usual so I may seem down n out sumtimes...but I guess it's coz of stress. And bitterness. Which I rilly should work on starting today. It's rilly hard when you're the bitterest person in this world. Aahhhh ionow. I need to stop. I need to let it go. I don't know how, but I'm asking for strength. That's all I'm asking.

Songs of the week:

Panalangin sa Pagiging Bukas Palad (Prayer for Generosity)

Panginoon, turuan Mo ako maging bukas-palad
Turun Mo akong maglingkod sa Iyo
Na magbigay nang ayon sa nararapat
Na walang hinihintay mula sa 'Yo
Nang makibakang di inaalintana
Mga hirap na dinaranas
Sa tuwina'y magsumikap na hindi humahanap
Ng kapalit na kaginhawaan
Na 'di naghihintay kundi ang aking mabatid
Na ang loob Mo'y siyang sinusundan

Translated...

Prayer for Generosity

Dearest Lord, teach me to be generous
Teach me to serve You as I should
To give and not to count the cost
To fight and not to heed the wounds
To toil and not to seek for rest
To labor and ask not for reward
Save that of knowing that I do Your most holy will

Dancy song of the week:

Officially Missing You by Tamia

All I hear is raindrops
Falling on the rooftop
Oh baby tell me why’d you have to go
Cause this pain I feel
It wont go away
And today I’m officially missing you
I thought that from this heartache
I could escape
But I fronted long enough to know
There ain’t no way
And today
I’m officially missing you

Ohhhh can’t nobody do it like you
Said every little thing you do
Hey baby say
stays on my mind
And I, and I, I’m officially

All I do is lay around
Two ears full tears
From looking at your face on the wall
Just a week ago you were my baby
Now I don’t even know you at all
don’t know you at all
Well I wish that you would call me right now
So that I could get through to you somehow
But I guess it’s safe to say baby safe to say
That I’m, That I'm officially missing you

Well I thought I could just get over you baby
But I see that’s something I just can’t do
From the way you would hold me
To the sweet things you told me
I just can’t find a way
To let go of you

It official
You know that I’m missing you
oohhh Yeah yes
All I hear is raindrops
ooohhh yeah
And I’m officially missing you

I love my mom.

Tuesday, February 17, 2004

Three-day weekend is over and despite the major tiredness thoughout the entire weekend, I can honestly say that I had a lot of fun.

Thanx to BJ for making my Friday and Saturday extra-fun even though we jus chilled half a day. Oh and thanx for taking me home too. Thanx for the food-filled presents. I want more macaroons and empandas. Please?

Saturday night at Rancho Cucamonga with family. Of course, family parties are always food-filled and therefore love-filled. Food = Love right?

Sunday was my lolo's 80th surprise party at Manila Buffet at the Exchange. I knew that all the preparations for the party were worth it right when my lolo came in the restaurant completely surprised and started crying. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LO!

Sunday night was Filipino mass with the whole family. It's kinda sad how I didn't rilly know the responses in Tagalog just coz I always go to the English mass. But right when they started singing the Tagalog songs, dude it was over. I remember almost all the songs they sang because I used to sing it all the time in my old school and I loved all of em. That was awesome.

Sunday dinner at lola's house. Food once again. Finding Nemo. Cousin-time. I miss that.

Monday tried to study. Irvine.

Now, I'm at work with a mess of crap to do on my desk and I'm blogging. So I guess I should work?

Friday, February 13, 2004

I couldn't stand it anymore so I told my boss about the damn plant. Apparently, she's been smelling it too but she jus didnt wana say anything (I guess coz she thought it was me that stank ugh). So we hauled that big ass pot outside and poured the water out. But now it seems like the smell reeks in the halls...or wherever I go. So I hardcore sprayed again in here and now I have a headache.

Random thoughts...

- T.G.I.F.
- Friday the 13th. Mwaaahahahaha.
- Oh yeah Vagina Monologues last nite with the immacers and wyse girls. That was fun. Go vagina warriors. Vagina-friendly!
- Thanx to Alisa for the foodrun u rock my world.
- HAPPY BIRTHDAY COUSIN BJAY!
- my mother just doesn't understand why her daughters do not wana have familytoime on valentines day

Have u ever had that feeling of frustration when you want something rilly bad but you know you can never get it? Or at least you know it will never want you back? Yes, "it."

Thursday, February 12, 2004

So I came in work this morning and I guess I was early coz my boss wasnt there yet. So I was the first one in there, and right when I came in the room, it smelled like someone hardcore farted in there and just shut the door so that the smell wouldnt leave. So of course I didnt want people to think that it was my fart, so I bust out with my A&F 8 and sprayed it like there's no tomorrow. So I left for class but then later in the afternoon, I came back to work and the smell was back. I was all, dude why do people gotta fart in my office. Then I was all, man my boss farts hardcore. There was this hot dude who came in too and he was prolly thinking, man this girl is stankin up tha room. And then turns out its this big ass plant I've been trying to revive thats stinks. I've been watering it everyday now and iont think it's been taking in the water coz it looks like it's jus soaking in the water. So it jus smells like a sewer up in hur. Demn det plant. Maybe that's the reason why no one ever comes in this office. Man!

Friday, February 06, 2004

So I've been sick for two weeks now. I refuse to go to the health center because it's too far and I don't have their insurance thing so that means I'd have to spend a lot if I go. Oh well, if I die then I die. It's all gud in da hood. At least I still have my sexay voice.

I haven't had anything exciting happen to me lately. I guess it's coz I've been m.i.a. and kinda anti because I'm too weak to go out n stuff. But good thing is I think I've got my priorities straight lately...rite roomie? I don't wana jinx it or anything, but I realized how I've been doing my school work more than last quarter. I guess I learned my lesson! It just sux sumtimes when you have to fall in order to rise back up again. I just hope I don't fall again this quarter.

Woops before I forget...HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEL!

More to come later...when I actually have a life to tell you guys about. Payce.

Here's a lil sumtin to read (from my roomie Alisa) that I thought I should put here.

THE ROOM
17-year-old Brian Moore had only a short time to write something for a class. The subject was what Heaven is like. "I wowed 'em," he later told his father, Bruce. "It's a killer. It's the bomb. It's the best thing I ever wrote." It also was his last.

Brian's parents had forgotten about the essay when a cousin found it while cleaning out the teenager's locker at Teays Valley High School in Pickaway County. Brian had been dead only hours, but his parents desperately wanted every piece of his life near them, notes from classmates and teachers, his homework.

Only two months before, he had handwritten the essay about encountering Jesus in a file room full of cards detailing every moment of the teen's life. But it was only after Brian's death that Beth and Bruce Moore realized hat their son had described his view of heaven. It makes such an impact that people want to share it. You feel like you are there." Mr. Moore said. Brian Moore died May 27, 1997, the day after Memorial Day. He was driving home from a friend's house when his car went off Bulen-Pierce Road in Pickaway County and struck a utility pole. He emerged from the wreck
unharmed but stepped on a downed power line and was electrocuted.

The Moores framed a copy of Brian's essay and hung it among the family portraits in the living room. "I think God used him to make a point. I think we were meant to find it and make something out of it, " Mrs. Moore said of the essay. She and her husband want to share their son's vision of life after death. "I'm happy for Brian. I know he's in heaven. I know I'll see him one day."

Brian's Essay:

The Room......

In that place between wakefulness and dreams, I found myself in the room. There were no distinguishing features except for the one wall covered with small index card files. They were like the ones in libraries that list titles by author or subject in alphabetical order. But these files, which stretched from floor to ceiling and seemingly endless in either direction, had very different headings.

As I drew near the wall of files, the first to catch my attention was one that read "Girls I have liked." I opened it and began flipping through the cards. I quickly shut it, shocked to realize that I recognized the names written on each one. And then without being told, I knew exactly where I was.

This lifeless room with its small files was a crude catalog system for my life. Here were written the actions of my every moment, big and small, in a detail my memory couldn't match.

A sense of wonder and curiosity, coupled with horror, stirred within me as I began randomly opening files and exploring their content. Some brought joy and sweet memories; others a sense of shame and regret so intense that I would look over my shoulder to see if anyone was watching.

A file named "Friends" was next to one marked "Friends I have betrayed." The titles ranged from the mundane to the outright weird. "Books I Have Read," "Lies I Have Told," "Comfort I have given," "Jokes I Have Laughed at." Some
were almost hilarious in their exactness: "Things I've yelled at my brothers." Others I couldn't laugh at: "Things I Have said in My Anger", "Things I Have Muttered Under My Breath at My Parents." I never ceased to be surprised by the contents.

Often there were many more cards than I expected. Sometimes fewer than I hoped. I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the life I had lived. Could it be possible that I had the time in my years to fill each of these thousands or even millions of cards? But each card confirmed this truth. Each was written in my own handwriting. Each signed with my signature. When I pulled out the file marked "TV Shows I have watched , "I realized the files grew to contain their contents. The cards were packed tightly, and yet still after two or three yards, I hadn't found the end of the file. I shut
it, shamed, not so much by the quality of shows but more by the vast time I knew that file represented.

When I came to a file marked "Lustful Thoughts," I felt a chill run through my body. I pulled the file out only an inch, not willing to test its size, and drew out a card. I shuddered at its detailed content. I felt sick to think that such a moment had been recorded. An almost explosive rage broke on me. One thought dominated my mind: No one must ever see these cards!

No one must ever see this room! I have to destroy them!" In insane frenzy, I yanked the file out. Its size didn't matter now. I had to empty it and burn the cards!!! But as I took it at one end and began pounding it on the floor, I could not dislodge a single card. I became desperate and pulled out a card, only to find it as strong as steel when I tried to tear it.

Defeated and utterly helpless, I returned the file to its slot. Leaning my forehead against the wall, I let out a long, self-pitying sigh. And then, I saw it...... The title bore "People I Have Shared the Gospel With." The handle was brighter than those around it, newer, almost unused. I pulled on its handle and a small box not more than three inches long fell into my hands. I could count the cards it contained on one hand. And then the tears came. I began to weep. Sobs so deep that they hurt. They started in my stomach and shook through me. I fell on my knees and cried. I cried out of shame, from the overwhelming shame of it all.

The rows of file shelves swirled in my tear-filled eyes. No one must ever, ever know of this room. I must lock it up and hide the key. But then as I pushed away the tears, I saw Him. No, please not Him. Not here. Oh, anyone but Jesus. I watched helplessly as He began to open the files and read the cards. I couldn't bear to watch His response. And in the moments I could bring myself to look at His face, I saw a sorrow deeper than my own. He seemed to intuitively go to the worst boxes.

Why did He have to read every one? Finally He turned and looked at me from across the room. He looked at me with pity in His eyes. But this was a pity that didn't anger me. I dropped my head, covered my face with my hands and began to cry again. He walked over and put His arm around me. He could have said so many things. But He didn't say a word. He just cried with me. Then He got up and walked back to the wall of files. Starting at one end of the room, He took out a file and, one by one, began to sign His name over mine on each card.

"No!" I shouted rushing to Him. All I could find to say was "No, no," as I pulled the card from Him. His name shouldn't be on these cards. But there it was, written in red so rich, so dark, so alive. The name of Jesus covered mine. It was written with His blood. He gently took the card back. He smiled a sad smile and began to sign the cards.

I don't think I'll ever understand how He did it so quickly, but the next instant it seemed I heard Him close the last file and walk back to my side. He placed His hand on my shoulder and said, "It is finished." I stood up, and He led me out of the room. There was no lock on its door......

There are still cards in my life to be written. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." - Phil. 4:13 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have
eternal life."

Still not feeling well, but better than last week. I think Big Bear made me stop getting better. But of course I don't rilly care coz it was worth going to.

Whenever I have a feeling of doubt, insecurity, and fear, He always seems to make me see through these walls so that I can look deeply and see the real reason why I'm being called to do what I'm supposed to do.

At work. My brand new supplies just came in today! I'm very excited. I think I'm actually gona have my own printer and fun stuff like that. Dang why do they spoil me like this? I think they have an ulterior motive. Hmmm.

Been sick since Friday night. Not good. At first I thought it was just a sore throat. But it felt nothing like a sore throat...except my throat hurt...get it? Okai never mind. Basically I had dry cough, major aching throat, fever, and all that gud stuff. So I was looking through this medical book and I diagnosed myself by looking at the symptoms of throat infections. I think I have mild tonsilitis. Ggggrrrrr. Good thing I was home this whole weekend to rest and get pampered by mom n sister. Man, been spoiled once again. weee.

One sad moment over the weekend though was on Saturday when I slept in till 1pm, woke up, and realized everyone was out. They left me at home all by myself =(. Just made me think why I even bother going home. *sigh* But it was all gud coz later that night we all went to church and shopping in the happiest place on earth...Ross. Mom bought me clothes. I would think I'd be officially called a spoiled brat by now.

Lately, I've been thinking about the decisions I've made for myself this past year. I look back and I ask myself if I did the right thing. A friend used to always reminded me to make a decision I wouldn't regret. But how will I know if I will regret my decision or not? There was a point when I wanted to make everything the way it used to be. I blamed myself for being the weak one, the one who gave up when there seems to be no other way to go. I cry whenever I'm reminded of the hurt I caused, and when I can't seem to accept the fact that not everything can be perfect and have a happy ending. Then I realize that sometimes it's better this way. It's better to go through it once. But who knows what will happen along the way. It can turn out to be the perfect ending that people would imagine it to be, or reality can kick in and simply take me where it leads me.

Friday, January 16, 2004

It's so amazing how semi-productive I've been this week, just coz it's only the first week of school and I'm still chillen like a villain. I know this quarter will be a fun-filled one because I'm gona be doing a whole lota fun stuff. Besides the funtoimes of my two asian am classes, econ, and management class, I'm gona be working on my new desk and office! I have a couch in here too if anyone wants to visit me! It can get quiet and lonely in here but I like the peacefulness sometimes.

My 9am-5pm everyday is basically school and work combined. At night comes the funner stuff...mondays is high school outreach for PUSO (ooh which reminds me that in my Management class, the director of the Career Center was giving us a talk about leadership and she mentioned how PUSO had awesome leadership and stuff like that), tuesdays is Liwanag (I'm excited for Spirit Rally), wednesdays is WYSE (me and this other girl will be preparing a class about STDs for our 6th-7th graders woohoo), thursdays is F.R.I.E.N.D.S., and fridays...who knows. I'm also gona be in PCN choir this year so woohoo. Yeahp, this quarter will be funtoimes all the toime.

I think I'm going home tonite. Again. It's a long story why I've been going home a lot lately, but I rilly dont mind because I like home nowadays. And I guess it's better that I go home a lot now coz I mite not be able to wen the quarter gets busier.

Woops time to go back to work. Boss needs me to go to the library. Payce.

Pretty, pretty song I love...

Every Season by Nicole Nordeman

Every evening sky, an invitation
To trace the patterned stars
And early in July, a celebration
For freedom that is ours
And I notice You
In children's games
In those who watch them from the shade
Every drop of sun is full of fun and wonder
You are summer

And even when the trees have just surrendered
To the harvest time
Forfeiting their leaves in late September
And sending us inside
Still I notice You when change begins
And I am braced for colder winds
I will offer thanks for what has been and was to come
You are autumn

And everything in time and under heaven
Finally falls asleep
Wrapped in blankets white, all creation
Shivers underneath
And still I notice you
When branches crack
And in my breath on frosted glass
Even now in death, You open doors for life to enter
You are winter

And everything that’s new has bravely surfaced
Teaching us to breathe
What was frozen through is newly purposed
Turning all things green
So it is with You
And how You make me new
With every season's change
And so it will be
As You are re-creating me
Summer, autumn, winter, spring

BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY COUSIN LINDSEY! I LOVE YOU COUSIN!

IBM Thinkpad Laptops are still on sale (A Series. $700-950) IM me if interested: buthafly.

Aaaah theres so much to blog about I don't know where to start! Actually, I kinda forgot about the stuff I wanted to write about. Oh well. This will be perty long. Let's see what I come up with...

I went to mass in OMGC this Saturday, and it felt kinda weird just coz I haven't been there in a while (I enjoy going to mass in Interfaith more coz I actually listen haha). So I sat there, about to space out as usual, but surprisingly I paid attention from start to finish. I thought it was a gud mass because I loved the songs they sang, and I actually listened and took in the words being said throughout the mass.

"Lord, make us turn to you, show us Your face, and we shall be saved." Sometimes I feel as though I'm too blind to see the positive things around me. I always dwell on the bad things that affect me, making me even more pessimistic towards anything I come across. It seems like I refuse to see the good things in life. I'm not exactly sure why. I realized that refusing to see the good made me refuse to see Him. If I don't see the good, how am I supposed to turn to Him and see Him? I need His help to make me see that there is more to life than going through hardtimes. I need Him to make me see the good things that make life worth living.

"With blessings come pain and suffering." Life can never be perfect. It will always have both good and bad times. Like what father said, Mary's blessing was to have Jesus as her son, but with it came the pain of seeing Him die on the cross. Life will hand us many many blessings, but it has to give us pain as well. Many people wish that life could just be perfect, with everyone happy, without suffering in this world. But perfect doesn't have to mean no pain and suffering. Perfect may simply mean seeing Him and doing His will in all that we say and do.

So newayssss...

Weakness starting to take over me once again. Help?

To a special friend: I may not know the feeling of what you're going through. I may not fully understand your thoughts and feelings. I may not know what to say when you tell me your heartaches. I may not seem to have the answers to all your problems. But I'm always here to listen, and I'm here to tell you that boys suck so screw them all. ::Hug::

I love my mom. I never really realized what a strong person she is till now. It made me understand her a little bit more. I guess I can say she's been through things that I never really thought was a big deal...till now. I'm glad she's enjoying her new job. And how do I know this? She's been decorating her desk.

My sister's coming back from the Philippines tomorrow! Well actually today, Monday. I'm so excited! Not coz she's coming back, but because of my pasalubongs. Haha okai jk fine I miss her. Geeznuts.

Wow I'm actually sleepy. I think I should sleep early for once. I heard it's gud for you. Payce!

finals week is over thank God. i dont wana think about that now coz i dont think i did well in any of my finals. im perty sure itll be very painful wen i get my grades. oh well...sux to be me.

this week has been my bitterness week. despite all my theories about stuff, i think i rilly am jus one bitter person. haha. i have the tendency to think about the worst, most horrible, hateful case possible jus to not get my hopes up too high, to prepare myself for the disappointment, and simply make it easier for me to deal with it in the end. i mean its jus all in gud fun and shtuff, but wen it gets a little too painful i know it's time to stop. there may be times wen i get weak, but i think i would come out stronger wen its over. now i know how to deal. jus take it as it goes, no worries, dont trip, have fun, and play the game. thats right. we'll see who wins. :evil laugh:

sharing is caring. that quote fits real well this past week. it makes my heart smile wen people are willing to share a part of them to a person, with the kind of trust that makes a friendship stonger...it fills my heart with happiness...and gives me a better understanding of that person. its random times like these that make finals week much more easier to bear. haha. i love it. i love you!

friday nite was nap time...magic mic time with cristina n janice...and dinner with the roomies n david. i cooked pasta, rona cooked mashed potatoes, alisa cooked her rice, and chelle baked her special cake. oh n we bought chicken. ate a little bit too much but its all gud. i love my roomies. thanx rona for the cute gift! after dinner was party time with some sierra people. funtimes except for the cleaning up part. and stuff.

saturday...my day started at 3pm. nice. cleaned some more then dinner with gladys n tsai n roomie at sushi riki. rented while you were sleeping and got ice cream n popcorn n watched the movie at tsai's. bj n bel visited us thanx u guys. then two hours later decided to go to ihop. yeahp, we are officially a bunch of realy hungry people. AND THEN... ended up not paying for our food becoz some random person took care of our check. we were in awe for a while...didnt even know who the person was. love actually is all around...good deeds do make the world go round. thank you to whoever you are..haha like theyre gona read this. but seriously, makes me wana do a good deed...makes me wana be a better person... oooohh maybe now that person can be my number one! hahaa.

whoever wants to chill im gona be in irvine this whole week...i think. lets chill!

writer: (an anonymous different person that is not cressa)

ok so interesting day with the most interesting person(cressa). we talked, mocked and had some other forms of fun. . .if ya know what i mean ; ) all in good taste though. damn boys and their ways always trying to get attention and shiz. . .making me crazy and shiz. . .always taking a shiz on me and shiz. why cant i find that one right person to take a shiz on?? why do i always have to go for the impossible. . .its never fair but life is no crystal carnivale so hey. im so boy crazy!! i cant help it and cressa promotes this kind of behavior what kind of person is she?! i think we all know the question to that. . .hah
[#3 is the only one to be] [but #2 will always do] [and #1 is oh so done]

Random Post...

The Final Analysis

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone may destroy overnight;
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, they might be jealous;
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis, it is all between you and God,
It was never between you and them anyway.

-Mother Teresa of Calcutta
